The work accomplished

We led extensive cloud transformation work and the creation of best practices to support the agency’s Cloud Program Management Office ( CPMO) as the Cloud Service Provider for the entire agency.

In six key phases spanning objective creation, inventory, ecosystem design, cloud vendor evaluation, cloud migration, and optimization, Koniag established, secured, and helped the CPMO offer a wide range of both PaaS and SaaS cloud services.

In addition to creating and supporting the ecosystem, we led the way in establishing cloud-first development guidelines and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, helping to ensure security throughout the system.

Results delivered

Koniag helped deliver an impressive cloud ecosystem while obtaining ATOs for Azure, AWS, and the Google Cloud Platform. Additionally, we successfully migrated over 40 Service Desks to a ServiceNow ITSM, customized for individual office needs.

Beyond the technical know-how, the customer trusted Koniag to create internal communications to help evangelize for the CPMO, driving early adoption and increasing enthusiasm to leverage this new cloud ecosystem.

With the cloud tech and communications in place, the agency executed its “Cloud Smart” modernization strategy, delivering easy-to-consume and secure cloud services to its critical agency.
