As a subsidiary of an Alaska Native Corporation, our purpose is unique. Koniag was incorporated under the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) to steward the land and assets of the Alutiiq people from the Kodiak Island region in perpetuity.

We invest in and operate our business through sustainable financial practices and resource management to be able to support this mission.

A global leader in security, Brian served in the U.S. Secret Service Technical Security Division under multiple US presidents, focusing on emerging technologies and CBRNE threats. He led impressive growth as the founder of CodeLock, helping them earn recognition as a top 200 startup globally from TechCrunch. Brian drives Koniag Cyber’s mission to deliver tailored cybersecurity solutions to commercial enterprises in highly regulated industries.

Allen Debes

CEO, Koniag Capital

Allen combines his passion for learning and leading with his extensive background in IT consulting to expand relationships and increase Koniag Cyber’s positive impact. Allen and his wife, Kammi, have four grown children, and enjoy hiking and exploring the outdoors near their home in Scottsdale, AZ.

Heather Kephart

Chief Business Operations Officer, Koniag Capital

Heather brings experienced financial and business acumen and a relationship-centered approach in support of Koniag Cyber’s growth goals. Heather lives with her husband, Jesse, and son, Silas, in Minneapolis, MN, where they enjoy fishing and lake life.
